Elevating the profession
The actions proposed recognise the value teachers bring to students, communities and the economy.
Somewhat agree
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
Educators bring heaps of work home or go in on their day off to play catch up. Time and money needs to be put in to help burntout educators who do this day in day out.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.
Strongly agree

Make LANTite different. If teachers only want to do smaller grades from prep-year 2 have a test that cover the content they would actually know. From grade 3-6 have the test a bit harder.
Strengthening Initial Teacher Education (ITE)
The actions proposed will ensure initial teacher education supports teacher supply and quality.
Neither agree nor disagree

Placement should be offered early on in the course and every university across Australia should not have lantite as the benchmark for second year prac. How are students going to know if they like being in a classroom. More free government help to pass lantite.
Maximising the time to teach
The actions proposed will improve retention and free up teachers to focus on teaching and collaboration.
Somewhat agree

To improve this. The government needs to come up with more effective ways to help teachers plan. They should.not be doing this in their free or spare time ALL the time. Ask yourselves this question. Is there too much in the Australian Curriculum?
Better understanding future teacher workforce needs
How effective are the proposed actions in better understanding future teacher workforce needs, including the number of teachers required?
Moderately effective
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
I don't know how your going to improve the number of teachers. Lantite should not be a requirement of primary school if you want teachers.
Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.
Neither agree nor disagree

Help students who are struggling. Get teachers to teach university students, have a mentor program.
