Elevating the profession
The actions proposed recognise the value teachers bring to students, communities and the economy.
Somewhat agree
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
I believe that elevating the profession is a positive way of attracting more to the field. Allowing parents and caregivers to take part in elevating the profession by nominating teachers and staff members, I think is needed in order to boost attractiveness. Too many times teachers are judged poorly by parents but on the other end of the scale there are parents who totally support their children’s educator and hold them in high steed. Acknowledgement from parents can be turned into a very strong message.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

Making the accreditation process a little less time consuming and providing more opportunities for career advancement is needed. Closing the timing between each level of attainment.
