Teachers are on contracts for far too long with EQ and it does not demonstrate that you are a respected employer. I struggled to get mortgage due to being on contract and even the mortgage broker and the bank was embarrassed for me. Why would society respect us when our own employer doesn't? The money is almost exactly the same as those in disability support but they have no degree and they are paid by the hour and are able to actually recieve an income for the hours they work. Also, look at the differences in your funding allocation. You are spending triple digits to encourage more to join the profession but you're only spending $25 million on a "plan" to "trial" new ways of reducing workload. WOW 👌 this doesn't seem like a waste of time and money at all. Also, maybe look at reducing the amount of "meetings for a meetings sake", give schools in low-socioeconomic areas more targeted support and stop giving children and their parents the power to make an accusation about a teacher because they don't like them. Children and their families have the capacity to end a person's career with a simple complaint and a teacher, even after being investigated and found to be innocent are tarred with a horrible brush in the industry. Nepotism is rife and the workplace bullying is out of control. Goodluck fixing it.

Improving teacher supply

The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

It's impossible to achieve HAT in schools that aren't under EQ.
