Elevating the profession
The actions proposed recognise the value teachers bring to students, communities and the economy.
Somewhat disagree
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
Teachers shouldn't be required to do more to prove themselves. When do you expect them to have time to so PD when they are already struggling to find time.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

Attracting them isn't the issue. Retaining teachers is the issue. I left the profession last Friday, giving up back pay! I was a senior experienced teacher PD mathematics, including Mathematical Methods and Specialist Maths.
Strengthening Initial Teacher Education (ITE)
The actions proposed will ensure initial teacher education supports teacher supply and quality.

You need to address what universities are teaching. I have mentored pre service teachers who did not have the mathematical knowledge required to teach junior maths. Uni courses need to include the content teachers will be delivered. They should be delivered using best practice so preservice teachers learn how to teach the content.
Maximising the time to teach
The actions proposed will improve retention and free up teachers to focus on teaching and collaboration.
Somewhat disagree

Teachers want to create content! They create it for their students! Providing modules would remove one of the aspects teachers like about teaching. C2C is terrible! Ask Qld teachers and they will agree.

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

Pathways aren't want you need. I did not go straight into teaching. What needs to be addressed is retaining teachers.
