Feels superficial and also not something the govt will actively be able to shape considering the nature and current anti-teacher/anti-worker bias of mainstream media in Australia.
Without legislation to regulate journalism in Australia, I’m not sure how the govt could guarantee a more positive or even just a more truthful representation of teaching in the media.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

Why is there no mention of increasing pay? If you want to make the profession more attractive and more respected, then there needs to be pay that reflects a higher status.

There have been many enquiries already so why is it necessary for further investigation into workload to be undertaken? What assurance is there that, by the time the findings have been gathered and identified, that a new govt won’t arrive in the next election cycle and simply override it or conduct their own investigation?
Just use the Gallop Inquiry and start implanting recommendations as quickly as possible before the next election arrives. Please.
