Very superficial recognition. Teachers salaries should be increased to show how much they are valued rather than putting money into awards and celebration nights.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

More teacher candidates learning an outdated teaching curriculum..? More money to fix teacher attitudes in the long run. ITE should hire lecturers that recognise the SCIENCE OF LEARNING/reading - explicit, synthetic instruction rather than whole language literacy approaches. Look into La Trobe SOLAR.

Streamline the national curriculum or have a national bank of lesson or unit plans to stop teachers from constantly reinventing the wheel.
