Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

Work conditions across sectors Need to be in line with each other Early Childhood wages and conditions are in vast ( negative) contrast to that of those employed in kindergarten and school settings.
Incentives for length/anniversary of service Need to be implemented.
Some parents Need greater education/awareness of the partnership for better outcomes for their children. They themselves may need to learn parenting skills and learn how to behave appropriately- treat people with respect.

Early Childhood at [REDACTED] only Less than 40% of time is for direct education outcomes for children another 15% for routine needs of children the rest is cleaning, maintenance, hygiene ( common/regular infectious diseases) gardening/watering.

Don’t just talk to representatives observe first hand ( for full days) and talk to a cross section of the workforce so you don’t just get told what they want you to hear and you don’t just read what sounds good on paper!!( manipulative )
Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.
