I think more needs to be done in early. Childhood settings to make parents realise we are bachelor qualified and know what we are doing. The draft report doesn’t really highlight demonstrating to parents in parent formats. They don’t see or care about teacher standards, they need to firstly know that we are qualified.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

Mainstreaming curriculum plans and teaching plans that all schools could use them would save so much teacher planning time and take away a lot of workload.
Every school in every state would potentially be at the same level.
By this I mean, each subject has what you teach for the year, what you teach each term, then each week. And be super clear and have attached links to lesson plans and resources.
Would take time and money to develop. But would help teachers.

Having more support for behaviours is a big need. Teachers just aren’t trained or skilled enough to cope with what they are now seeing.
I think it’s more about support than, having a higher accreditation level that honestly won’t make me stay in the job or do it any better. It’s coping each day with being a teacher and what the needs of children are now
