Elevating the profession
The actions proposed recognise the value teachers bring to students, communities and the economy.
Somewhat disagree
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
If any of these campaigns are on social media there will just be negative comments from the public, while educators are not allowed to comment and give their perspective. If these campaign are only published on department pages then only people who already value educators will see them. I’m interested to see how you can get media outlets to publish articles that are not biased against teachers
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

There didn’t seem to be much about incentives for Tasmania. Why would educators, SLP, social workers or psychs stay in Tas when they are the lowest paid? With shocking case loads and conditions?

Not a lot about Tasmania. And what is there sounds like it will add to teacher workloads

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

Not a lot about Tasmania. Why is this even a thing? Why can’t teachers just be recognised for their time in the role? The only people actually get through these processes are people without families of their own, or people who have no work/life balance.
