More programs for disengaged High School students is required in schools for students with lower than the average attendance rates as well as disruptive students. Programs that address students’ learning styles (neurodivergent) and allow students to experience success instead of always failing the education standards that our Education Departments set for neurotypical students.
Across all areas of Australia our students need more accessible speech pathologists, occupational therapists, school chaplains, psychologists & education assistants, to support teachers who are so stressed from trying to cater for students’ needs in their classrooms.
Student discipline policies need a complete overhaul in my opinion.
Reduce class numbers.
I find it astonishing that resigned teachers (K-12) have not already been surveyed or interviewed before this draft was written.
If you want to know why teachers are leaving…….. just ask them!
