The community think we work 9-3. I’m at my desk at 7am. The community think we get too many holidays but we prepare for the following term during our break and some of us just need time to recover from the burnout of the previous term.

Improving teacher supply

The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

I’m a teacher who has been on a temporary contract for 15 years. I have no job stability. I want a part time permanent position as I have a young family but this hard to come by. If you want to retain teachers then please offer job security.

The actions proposed will ensure initial teacher education supports teacher supply and quality.
