Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
Teachers have vocally explained what would help for years, but we still have thousands of us (37% in NSW) on temp contracts or casual for years on end. This needs to stop.

The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

People start degrees then see how poorly we get treated and bail. Treat us better. Pay us better. Make us permanent.

Lots of admin needs to be done by teachers, like behaviour issue recording, reporting, assessment marking. It's the data entry and collection that is a drain.

Slightly effective

Make us permanent as a matter of course.
Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession

Somewhat agree
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
We can't even think about progression when we're not permanent.
