Elevating the profession
The actions proposed recognise the value teachers bring to students, communities and the economy.
Strongly disagree
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
Splitting teachers by salary does not keep teachers in the industry.
Parents and students who respect teachers keep teachers in the industry. Stop OV.
Governments that provide every need a teacher has from luxury office materials to superior classroom facilities that is what will keep teachers in the profession. Stop teachers buying their own supplies.
A curriculum that is relevant and well resourced is required.
Senseless paperwork like TQI reflections should be done away with. Teachers do more than 20 hours of PL every year regardless of TQI so stop needlessly counting it.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

Do away with HEC fees
Do away with the masters and get preservice teachers into the classroom for more than 3 weeks at the most.
6 weeks is a placement of value. And pay them so they can afford to do placement.
