Teachers need more support and training when they are university so that they are well equi0pped when they enter the workforce. There was not enough support or guidance when I graduate. What I learnt at uni was not valid and did not help me in the classroom.

Maximising the time to teach

The actions proposed will improve retention and free up teachers to focus on teaching and collaboration.

Strongly agree

I feel the whole process is not appropriate. I have never worked in an industry where I have to apply for job. when there is actually no job there or has already been taken because someone is in that position but they have to reply. This is the most defunct situation and really need to be reassessed. teachers should only have to apply for an actual position. if they are already in that position then there should not be any need to apply.

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession

The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

Somewhat agree
