The number of additional activities that teachers need to complete needs to be GREATLY reduced. Quality teachers will not remain in the profession when they can get higher pay for working fewer hours in other sectors.

The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.
