Pay increase would help to elevate the status of the teaching profession.
Teachers should be paid according to their AISTL standards providing more options for career advancement and could be linked to performance management.
Having Senior teacher and level 3 does not provide enough opportunities for career advancement at a classroom teacher level.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.
Somewhat agree

Lowering the university entry score to attract more students is counter productive as it could decrease the quality of teachers. Other incentives to enter teaching would be more beneficial such as entry bonus’ or higher teaching salaries
Strengthening Initial Teacher Education (ITE)
The actions proposed will ensure initial teacher education supports teacher supply and quality.

At the moment teaching is two full time jobs. The face to face teaching and the back of house jobs, including replying to lesson preparation, parent emails, planning, marking, actioning school priorities, writing/reviewing IEP’s, parent meetings, following up on student social and behaviour issues, mandatory online PL etc. It is completely unsustainable. Either the back of house jobs need to be reduced or the teaching time needs to be reduced to allow for more time to do the back of house jobs.
Alternatively, each phase of learning could have a teacher who is responsible for lesson planning and preparation.
Or, the curriculum needs to be significantly reduced ie maths and English plus one additional learning area per term. Such as Term 1 Maths, English and Art. Term 2 Maths, English and HASS. Term 3 Maths, English and Technologies. Term 4 Maths, English and Health.

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

Having Senior Teacher and Level 3 Teacher does not provide adequate incentives to improve your performance as a teacher. The level 3 teacher application process seems unrealistic for full time teachers or working mums.
