I would prefer my employer to actively use the media to positively present my contributions to society rather than use the media to ‘bash teachers’.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

If the system then doesn’t add another thing to do.
Some things could be done much better to support students with disabilities - e.g. if a student was deaf last year and was receiving a level of support, the next year there shouldn’t be the need to reapply for funding for this child.
The complexities of children and families is increasing and this should be acknowledged and supported by providing teachers time to develop relationships with the child and families to get on the same page.

There must be a better process for teachers to renew registration. This process was time consuming and costly.
Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.
