Feedback on the Mitchell Institute Report: Australian Investment in Education: Early Childhood Education and Care
On 16 February 2020, the Mitchell Institute published a report titled Australian Investment in Education: Early Childhood Education and Care (the report). The report analysed Government expenditure in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector and identified areas for policy reform.
The Department of Education, Skills and Employment welcomes the report but has found a number of inaccuracies and has outlined recommendations.

CCS Online enquiry form
The form is intended for early childhood education and care providers and services to submit general queries through to the CCS Provider Helpdesk. This form is linked to various email addresses so that when the form is submitted the query flows through to the correct queue to ensure appropriate action.
Application form to amend/submit previous financial year data
In limited, specified circumstances, a provider may need to submit new session reports late, or vary or withdraw session reports after the date on which the department restricts access to the child care subsidy system. This form is the channel by which providers apply to the department to make changes in a previous FY to ensure that there is no financial impact on child care providers and families.
