The Department of Education, Skills and Employment has released a discussion paper inviting views on the benefits and challenges of diversifying international student cohorts, and the role these policy measures can play in supporting diversification at public universities.  

Innovation Development Fund Guidelines 2022

The Innovation Development Fund provides short term targeted support (through grant funding of up to $150,000) to vulnerable private English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers to diversify their education offerings into online and offshore delivery.

These Guidelines for the Fund set out further details on eligibility criteria for providers.

Australian Strategy for International Education 2021-2030 - Submissions

On 31 March 2021, the former Hon Alan Tudge MP, Former Minister for Education and Youth, called for public submissions in response to a Consultation Paper on the new Australian Strategy for International Education to 2030. The Consultation Paper was developed by the Expert Members of the Council for International Education (the Council) in collaboration with our Department. This process has now closed.
