Somewhat disagree

What you have proposed doesn’t fix the fundamental issue of teacher burn out. The actions that are stated are ones that look good on face value however will do very little in preventing teachers leaving the profession from over working and student behaviour issues which we as a profession don’t have the means or backing from the government to change.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.
Strongly disagree

Why would people want to join a profession when it’s so clear that their bosses don’t respect or listen to the concerns of the workers. You apply Band-Aid fixes on problems that need a complete overhaul. Why would people want to join a profession where they’re are spoken to like they’re worthless talked down to treated like second class citizens. Then in the wisdom of our bosses they impose more hurdles making it harder for students to be suspended or dealt with accordingly.
Strengthening Initial Teacher Education (ITE)
The actions proposed will ensure initial teacher education supports teacher supply and quality.

Unless you are willing to grant all teachers a workload of a Beginners teacher workload (4 contact hours a cycle) or better 3 hours a week. Then what you have proposed will do very little in teacher retention and an improvement in teacher workloads. Being a new beginning teacher as of last year, I see first hand teachers drowning in useless admin. I also see myself drowning.
Better understanding future teacher workforce needs
How effective are the proposed actions in better understanding future teacher workforce needs, including the number of teachers required?

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.
