Elevating the profession

The actions proposed recognise the value teachers bring to students, communities and the economy.

Strongly disagree

Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?

No amount of advertising or status or awards mean anything without us being paid what we're worth. It's all meaningless without what we've asked for through the Union being met. At least a pay increase in line with real inflation and reduced administrative tasks that add no value to student learning.

Improving teacher supply

The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

We've told you how to keep the workforce. Give us what we've asked for and deserve. At least a pay increase in line with real inflation and reduced administrative tasks that add no value to student learning.

The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

If you want to retain us, give us what we're asking for. At least a pay increase in line with real inflation and reduced administrative tasks that add no value to student learning.
