Elevating the profession
The actions proposed recognise the value teachers bring to students, communities and the economy.
Neither agree nor disagree
Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?
The ignorance shown by everyone on how to elevate the profession is borderline insane.
there are reasons no one wants to be a teacher anymore and we have been saying it for years. The pay is going backwards and the workloads continue to increase. The new agreement is an absolute disgrace and doesn't really address anything. If anything it has increased workloads with people in leadership and it pits staff against each other.
Simply pay them more and reduce the workloads. Pay is the easiest and quickest way and everyone knows it.
Improving teacher supply
The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.
