The document states 15. "The Quality Time program in New South Wales, which aims to simplify, modernise and reduce administrative processes and practices. It is on track to deliver a 20 per cent reduction in time spent on low-value administrative tasks by the end of 2022." I do not agree it is on track. As a teacher I have only see an increase in low-value administrative tasks NOT a decrease and it is almost the end of 2022.

What this suggests to me is that the scope is not realistic or what has been identified isn't actually making a difference.

I actually believe that there is nothing in this section realistically will make a difference to teacher workload. I also believe that this is one of the most important sections in order to retain teachers and it just is not sufficient.

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession

The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.
