Genuine workload concerns need to be solved. These can be local, but should have general statements as simple as the following generic statements: teachers will not read emails outside of hours, or no teacher will enter a dataset more than once. Or they could be state/system specific: teachers will be released to write any assessment needing to be externally approved.
System-wide there are massive workload issues- but they do fall under a few key areas:
- Contacting parents and the documentation of such contact
- Emails
- New system initiatives
- New curriculum (AC version 9 is the newest of a continual stream of curriculum changes)
- Compliance documents from administration
- Excessive tracking of student progress for the sake of tracking
