Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?

1. You need to keep teachers in the profession.
2. You need to encourage new people to join the teaching profession.

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession

The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

The HALT process is cubersome, the HALT
process is flawed if it does not respect professional accomplishments outside the classroom such as additional degrees, examination writing, secondments with NESA and contributions to corporate education.
