Scaling Up Success in Remote Schools Program

On 29 June 2023, the Australian Government entered into an agreement with the Western Australian Department of Education to deliver the Scaling Up Success in Remote Schools Program, one of three programs under the Closing the Gap - Scaling Up Proven Primary Reading Programs measure.

The Australian Government has committed $10 million over four years to implement the program in a network of remote schools in WA with a high proportion of First Nations students. The program will have a focus on targeted teaching practices (including explicit instruction), regular school attendance, and parental engagement in student education.
