Xamerg Pty Ltd [02480G], trading as The Eagle Academy, ceased delivery of its courses to international students on Tuesday 4 October 2022. The TPS has stepped in to refund students their unspent tuition fees.
The Eagle Academy closed
International students enrolled at The Eagle Academy were emailed on 3 February to advise TPS are assisting The Eagle Academy with the calculation of refunds and were liaising with the Department of Home Affairs to ensure the visas of affected students remain valid and application fees for extensions would be waived.
On 10 February 2023 the TPS updated students that we are working to refund students and will conduct student meetings to outline the refund process.
The TPS activated on 13 February 2023 to commence the student refund process.
Meetings for students and agents
TPS will conduct information sessions in person and online. If students can attend one of the in-person sessions, this is highly recommended, as TPS staff will be able to ensure you have access to the TPS Online case management system and that your contact details are up to date as part of the registration process. If this is not done in person it will be done later online.
