In August 2021, the Department commissioned the Monash University Gender and Family Violence Prevention Centre to undertake a national stocktake and gap analysis of respectful relationships education materials and resources. Supporting the Australian Government's National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022, the Respectful Relationships Education in Australia: Final Report was commissioned to inform the future development of respectful relationships education resources.

The report includes a list of state/territory programs and resources as well as recommendations that recognise the shared responsibility of the Australian Government, State and Territory governments and other stakeholders to improve the delivery of respectful relationship education in schools across Australia.
