Feedback

We were commissioned by the Head of Literacy, which at the time was Michael Sieler, to improve literacy results, which prior to our Expect to Win Program stood at 4.2/9, using standardised Queensland Education testing methods. The same testing, by Bremer State High School staff, was done after the 3-month, exclusive Expect to Win Program was implemented, and the literacy testing revealed levels of 7/9. Michael had mentioned to us that he had previously tried all mainstream testing/training etc offered by Dept of Education with no success.

Other results achieved directly because of the Expect to Win Program were:

- Increased self-belief & confidence amongst participants.

- Higher levels of student engagement & overall curriculum improvement, resulting in higher levels of student attendance.

- Promotions, in positions, for over half the Expect to Win program participants.

- Increased retention of teachers.

- Increased ability for participants to set and achieve goals.

- Increased levels of accountability of participants to themselves and their staff.

- Taught teachers how to turn “bullies” into leaders which resulted in reduced required disciplinary actions and suspensions.

- Improvement in quality of personal relationships and personal success.

This program trains teachers so they are specifically classroom ready both professionally as well as personally and gives them the knowledge and confidence to manage a classroom to ensure maximum student engagement resulting in greater performance and results.

See attached brief outline. The full curriculum is available at further consultation and can be utilised for application at the undergraduate, postgraduate and employment levels.
