Together For Humanity National Youth Summit

The inaugural National Youth Summit, hosted by Together For Humanity, will be at Australian Parliament House in the ACT.

The National Youth Summit is an opportunity for high school students across the country to discuss their insights, hopes, and ideas for inclusion and social cohesion and to have their voices heard by politicians, leaders and the broader community.

Students from a range of government and non-government secondary schools will come together at Australian Parliament House in the ACT, on the 12 August 2024 to discuss topics related to this year’s theme, Growing Belonging in a Disconnected World. Group discussions and brainstorming sessions will give students the opportunity to collaborate and workshop ideas on how to address diversity and inclusion concerns in their local areas.

This year’s inaugural National Youth Summit builds on state-based youth summits that have been held successfully in NSW and Victoria over the past few years. Speakers at the National Youth Summit will include Minister for Youth and Early Childhood Education, the Hon Dr Anne Aly, Minister for Education, the Hon Jason Clare MP, ABC Radio presenter Sirine Demachkie, and human rights campaigner Thenu Herath.

Together For Humanity programs are supported by the Australian Government Department of Education.
