The profession is dying. The work load immense. Action must be taken to ensure future generations we currently teach have a future.

The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.

I do not want to be away from the children I teach more. I just call for a less work load. If that is the case, compensation must be given in terms if pay.

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession
The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

Doing such a program is a huge task and a cost to the teacher. This does not make them a better professional. Other draw cards needs to be used. This extra aper work just to be appreciated.
