Would your community benefit from additional support to help students access and succeed in tertiary education?
Applications are open for funding to organisations to establish a Suburban University Study Hub in your community.
The hubs will support students living in the outer suburbs of Australia’s major cities to access and succeed in tertiary education in their community. Hubs will be established in areas of demonstrated need around Australia.
Organisations are encouraged to apply to host a hub to support students to reach their academic goals.
The hubs will provide:
Computer and video conferencing facilities including high-speed internet access
Break-out areas and study spaces
Student support services such as help with developing writing and research skills, study advice and assistance with administrative processes.
Minister for Education, the Hon Jason Clare MP wants more young people in regional Australia to go to university.
Bringing university closer to where you live will encourage more people who otherwise might decide not to go to university at all to give it a crack,” said Minister Clare.
I encourage eligible organisations interested in setting up a Suburban University Study Hub in our outer suburbs to apply.”
Applications close 5pm AEST 29 July 2024.
Suburban University Study Hubs build on the successful Regional University Study Hubs program (formerly Regional University Centres) that provide improved access and dedicated support for regional and remote students.
