About the Foundation Program Standards
The Foundation Program Standards (the Standards) were introduced in 2011 and are due to cease on 1 October 2021, unless renewed. The department is consulting to gather feedback to help renew the Standards before this date.
Updating the Standards will support and inform providers so they can adequately prepare students to meet English language and academic requirements for their tertiary study in Australia.
The department invited views from the sector, stakeholders, and interested parties to provide feedback and insights to help renew the Standards.
