The application period for the 2024 Suburban University Study Hubs program is now closed.

On 18 July 2023, in response to the Australian Universities Accord Interim Report, the Australian Government announced funding to double the number of University Study Hubs, including up to 14 new Suburban University Study Hubs in outer metropolitan and peri-urban areas.
On 16 November 2024, the Hon Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education, announced the successful locations from the 2024 application round.
The 10 successful applicants are expected to open Suburban University Study Hubs by mid-2025 in the following locations:
- La Trobe University - Broadmeadows, Epping, VIC
- Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services – Melton, VIC
- Kurri Kurri Community Services - Kurri Kurri, NSW
- Technical and Further Education Commission (TAFE NSW) - Macquarie Fields, NSW
- City of Armadale - Armadale, WA
- Regional Development Australia Wheatbelt – Ellenbrook, WA
- Regional Development Australia Peel - Mandurah, WA
- City of Playford - Elizabeth, SA
- The BUSY Group - Strathpine, QLD
- Business and Employment Southeast Tasmania (BEST) - Sorell, TAS
