The online Mathematics Hub features a range of nationally coordinated, high quality professional learning materials designed to support teachers, students, parents and carers.

The Mathematics Hub features resources designed to support teaching of mathematics in the school years.

The latest addition to the Mathematics Hub is the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for teachers of Years 7-10. The release of the 7-10 MOOC means that teachers now have professional learning resources available to support maths teaching from Foundation year right through to Year 10.

The MOOCs are designed around three core modules that cover maths mindsets, highlight a range of evidence-based practices and pedagogies, demonstrate ways for embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures within maths learning, and explore careers and real-world applications of mathematics.

They also contain:

  • Face-to-face professional learning and professional development to support teachers engaging with the MOOCs.
  • A series of self-paced online modules to enhance primary school teachers’ understanding and skills in 6 strand modules, Number, Algebra, Measurement, Geometry, Probability and Statistics.
