The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is running a competition for high school students to encourage them to learn about the value of tax and super.

Entries are now open for the ATO’s 2023 Tax, Super + You competition. This is a great way for students to learn about the importance of tax and super.

The competition invites high school students in Years 7–12 to make a creative project about tax and super. There are two age group categories, Junior (Years 7–9) and Senior (Years 10–12), with separate entry topics and prizes.

Not only does it help students to build financial literacy, but they also have a chance to win a share of the $13,200 prize pool for themselves and their school.

Free resources can be accessed via the Competition teacher's kit.

The Tax, Super + You competition is free to enter. Entries close 5pm AEST on Friday, 25 August 2023, and the winners will be announced in October 2023.
