Sporting Chance Programme

On 18 September 2013, responsibility for this programme was transferred to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The Sporting Chance Programme is an Australian Government initiative that uses sport and recreation as a vehicle to increase the level of engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in their schooling to encourage positive educational outcomes.  The programme has been implemented with providers working together with schools, education authorities, businesses and community groups.

Guidelines for the Sporting Chance Programme are available here.
