Skills Checkpoint Pilot

Australian Government Department of Education and Training - Skills Checkpoint Pilot

The Australian Government’s Skills Checkpoint Pilot provided a free career advisory service to employed individuals aged 45 to 54 years situated in the three pilot locations.

The goal of the Pilot was to support individuals to transition into new roles within their current industry or pathways to a new career with the view to encouraging reskilling and supporting ongoing engagement in the workforce.

To achieve this, Pilot providers supported individuals to assess their current career situation and offered guidance if a change in career direction was needed or desired.

The Skills Checkpoint Pilot ran for six months between December 2015 and May 2016. The pilot is currently being evaluated.
